We’re looking for a VP Tech Strategy to join us in London
At Liberty Global, we operate at the intersection of infrastructure, technology and capital. The VP Tech Strategy is the senior technical leader shaping how we evaluate, acquire, integrate and grow technology businesses and assets. This is a highly visible leadership role, working closely with Corporate Development, Finance and senior executives to assess opportunities, shape investment decisions and deliver value creation. You will bring deep technical understanding together with strong commercial judgement, helping turn complex technology topics into clear business outcomes.
You will high-impact influence stakeholders across Liberty Global and our operating companies, and play a key role in transactions, strategic partnerships and investment opportunities across connectivity, entertainment, security and digital services. This is an opportunity to help shape the future direction of a leading international business while building a high impact capability that supports investment, growth and innovation across the Group.
What will you be doing?
- Leading technical due diligence for acquisitions, investments and strategic partnerships
- Assessing network infrastructure, platform architecture, integration complexity and technology risks
- Shaping transaction economics through synergy identification, business case development and integration planning
- Supporting the negotiation of technology related transaction agreements and transition services arrangements
- Leading post acquisition integration activities, including platform migration, system consolidation and vendor optimisation
- Building market and competitive intelligence to identify technology trends and investment opportunities
- Developing investment theses across connectivity, entertainment, security and digital services
- Partnering with Corporate Development, Finance and business leaders to evaluate and execute strategic opportunities

We tend to look for people with:
Essential
- Strong expertise across telecoms infrastructure, network architecture, platforms and technology operations
- Experience leading technical due diligence, transaction support and integration activities
- Commercial and financial acumen with the ability to develop business cases, evaluate investments and assess value creation opportunities
- Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and influencing senior decision makers
- Ability to translate technical complexity into clear business recommendations
- Experience leading and developing teams in an international environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluent English
Desirable
- Experience within telecoms, infrastructure, technology, corporate development, private equity or consulting environments
- Knowledge of transition services arrangements and post transaction integration programmes
- Understanding of connectivity, entertainment, security or digital services markets
- MBA, advanced degree or relevant professional qualification
