About Mouro Capital
Mouro Capital is a venture capital firm investing in fintech and adjacent technologies transforming financial services, from seed through Series B/C, across Europe, the Americas and beyond. Backed by our anchor Limited Partner (LP), we combine the independence and speed of a venture fund with privileged access to one of the world's largest financial groups – giving our portfolio companies a genuine route to scale, and our team a front-row seat to how technology is reshaping the industry.
The Delivery Hub is Mouro Capital's strategic execution arm. It connects market intelligence, startup capabilities and deal execution to our LP's strategic priorities across three functions: Insights, Partnerships, and Transactions & Special Projects.
About the Role
Location: London and/or Madrid
We are hiring into the Transactions & Special Projects function of the Delivery Hub – a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who is equally comfortable owning the numbers behind a transaction and orchestrating the workstreams behind a strategic initiative. You will be the person who builds financial models, pressure-tests a business case, conducts due diligence and orchestrates projects, and brings structure and analysis to the Hub's most important mandates among other key contributions to the function.
The role spans two core areas of work, with the mix shifting over time as deal flow and initiatives evolve:
Transactions: supporting selected transactions in venture investment and M&A with the modelling, structuring, due diligence and synergy analysis that carry them through to completion; and
Special projects: driving strategic initiatives for our LP and the wider ecosystem, such as standing up a joint venture, running a new initiative, or providing PMO structure to a complex, multi-stakeholder programme

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will run your domain independently, with a General Partner as your direct sounding-board and access to specialist and external resources when a workstream calls for it. You will work directly with senior LP stakeholders, own the analysis and delivery end-to-end, and help shape the function from the ground up, growing your remit as its mandate and reach expand.
Key Responsibilities
Transactions
- Build the financial analysis and structure transactions, including valuation, scenario modelling, cap table and liquidation-preference waterfall modelling, earnout design
- Run due diligence and coordinate external teams across buy-side and sell-side processes
- Model and help implement deal synergies, quantifying the value and supporting delivery, working with business owners to provide real-life impact
- Prepare the analysis and materials that carry a deal through evaluation and approval
Special Projects
- Lead the delivery of strategic initiatives end-to-end – scoping the problem, structuring the approach, and driving it to an outcome, with full client ownership and post-implementation reporting responsibilities
- Build business plans and pressure-test them rigorously - working through hypotheses and challenging the assumptions
- Orchestrate multiple stakeholders across Mouro, our LP and external parties, keeping alignment and momentum through delivery
- Provide PMO and project-management structure to complex workstreams – tracking milestones, dependencies and deliverables to keep them on plan
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 5–7 years in strategy consulting, investment banking, transaction services, private equity, corporate finance or corporate development, with substantial hands-on financial modelling - consultants with strong quantitative experience or investment bankers with strategic advisory mandates are a perfect skillset mix
- Strong Excel and modelling skills – building business plans, operating and valuation models, and M&A or synergy analysis from scratch
- A track record of structuring and driving complex, ambiguous workstreams to a clear outcome – whether a live transaction, a strategic project, or a build
- Experience working directly with senior stakeholders, enough to operate independently, hold credibility in the room and drive parties to consensus
- Comfortable owning a workstream end-to-end and knowing when to bring in key decision-makers and other resources
