Vulnerability Management Consultant – Preston, UK
Up to £550 per day
Inverness or Preston, Full-time onsite role
Active SC clearance required
5-month initial contract length
ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Our client is a major organisation delivering complex technology and security services within a highly regulated environment. You will work within a multi-supplier environment, supporting the governance, coordination and visibility of vulnerability management activities. We are looking for experienced Vulnerability Management Consultants to join the team.
THE VULNERABILITY MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT ROLE:
As a Vulnerability Management Consultant, you will support the tracking, reporting and governance of vulnerabilities across multiple suppliers. You will monitor vulnerabilities through to closure, track remediation against agreed service levels and escalate overdue or high-risk issues.

- Coordinate with suppliers
- Produce vulnerability reporting packs
- Support dashboards and metrics
- Maintain audit-ready evidence
- Contribute to security governance forums
This is a governance and coordination role. You will not be responsible for vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, patch deployment or technical remediation.
VULNERABILITY MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Experience within cyber security, information security, service management or governance
- Good understanding of vulnerability management principles
- Knowledge of CVSS, KEV, risk ratings and remediation tracking
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders
