Portland is a vibrant one Michelin star restaurant in Fitzrovia built on a culture of thoughtful hospitality, teamwork and continuous learning. We are serving ingredient-led food and work with exceptional seasonal produce and are proud to nurture a talented, curious and ambitious team.

At Portland, hospitality is a craft. We believe great service comes from people who care deeply about what they do — about the guest experience, their teammates, and their own growth.

We are proud of our reputation as a great employer and are committed to helping our team build fulfilling and rewarding careers in hospitality.

The Role

As part of the floor team, you play a key role in creating the experience our guests come back for. Great service at Portland is attentive but never intrusive, knowledgeable but never pretentious, and always generous!

From set-up to service and throughout the evening, you will help deliver warm, attentive and thoughtful hospitality. We are looking for people who take pride in their work, care about details, and enjoy being part of a team striving for excellence every day. You will work closely with the kitchen and your fellow floor team members to ensure service flows smoothly and that every guest feels genuinely welcomed and looked after.

About You

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
