About the Role

Our Front of House teams set the scene for exceptional experiences and are an invaluable part of our Restaurants family. Waiters and Waitresses across Harrods are flexible to our customers’ needs and go above and beyond to make anything possible. They know what it means to go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Take food and beverage orders in a professional manner, taking every opportunity to maximise sales in a discreet manner.
  • Organise and carry out all mise-en-place duties prior to and after service to the required standards.
  • Follow the cash handling procedures and ensuring the customer is billed correctly.
  • Set-up and clear tables prior to, during and after service, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained.
  • Ensure your station and the restaurant runs smoothly as well as maintaining Harrods` high standards of quality, service and maximising productivity.

About You

You are an excellent communicator and customer service focused, enjoying greeting customers in a warm and friendly manner remaining attentive throughout their visit, and providing customers with a prompt and efficient service.

You are cool, calm, collected even in pressurised situations and able to think on your feet. You are also reliable and work well in a team, being a good listener and supporting others.

You will also:

  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant menu and allergens as well as a good knowledge of any specials promotions. Able to answer guest queries quickly, knowledgeably and in a discreet manner in line with the highest standards.
  • Engage with and interact comfortably with guests and build a working rapport in service to ensure a smooth and elegant service experience.
  • Have good attention to detail which will be evident through floor mis-en-place, checklists and sufficient stock level.
