Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role based at MINT DOSA in Southampton. The waiter/waitress/server is responsible for:
- Greeting guests
- Presenting menus
- Explaining dishes and specials
- Taking accurate food and beverage orders

Daily tasks include:

- Serving food and drinks
- Checking on guest satisfaction
- Handling payments
- Maintaining clean and organized tables and service areas
The role also involves:
- Coordinating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service
- Managing reservations or walk-ins
- Following hygiene and safety standards
The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy service periods.
Qualifications
- Experience in front-of-house hospitality or customer service, with strong guest interaction and table service skills.
- Clear verbal communication skills and the ability to explain menu items, dietary options, and specials confidently.
- Basic numeracy and point-of-sale (POS) skills for handling orders, bills, and payments accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stay organized under pressure, and multitask during busy service times.
- Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and personal hygiene in line with restaurant standards.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive team-oriented attitude when working with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues.
- Willingness to learn about South Indian cuisine and beverages to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Availability to work part-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; prior restaurant experience is an advantage but not required.
