Company Description

The Metropolitan is a casual neighborhood restaurant in Bristol, known for its classic British and French dishes served in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Menus change monthly to showcase seasonal ingredients sourced from trusted local suppliers.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Waiter/Waitress role based at The Metropolitan in Bristol. The role involves:

  • Welcoming guests
  • Presenting menus
  • Taking food and beverage orders
  • Serving dishes efficiently

  • Coordinating with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
  • Food & beverage and food service skills, including basic knowledge of menu items and table service standards.
  • Fundamental cooking or food preparation awareness to communicate confidently about dishes and ingredients.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting; flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is highly beneficial.
