Waking Night Support Worker
Earn £150 to £160 a night as a Waking Night Support Worker at Goldcrest Lodge, keeping children safe and settled until morning.
Working arrangements
Location: Goldcrest Lodge, Liphook, Hampshire
Salary / Pay: £150 to £160 per night, equivalent to approximately £15,600 to £16,640 per year pro rata based on 24 hours (2 nights per week), or £23,400 to £24,960 per year based on 36 hours (3 nights per week)
Shift Pattern: 7:00pm to 7:00am, part-time (24 or 36 hours), including some weekend work
About Cherry Trees
Cherry Trees provides specialist, home-from-home care for children with complex disabilities across our two homes in Surrey and Hampshire, giving families a vital break, while helping children build confidence and independence.
What you'll be doing
Direct care
- Carry out welfare checks throughout the night, at least every 15 minutes where required
- Comfort and settle children who wake during the night
- Follow care plans and medical guidance for each child

Household duties
- Complete laundry and light food preparation as needed
- Clean and maintain communal areas including toilets and floors
Records and handovers
- Complete daily reports and record incidents or medication given
- Hand over clearly to the day team each morning
What we're looking for
- Caring, patient and reliable with strong communication skills
- Able to stay calm under pressure during night shifts
- Comfortable working independently overnight
- Committed to safeguarding children and promoting their wellbeing
- Experience in residential childcare desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
