The Wall Tiler role is a contract, on-site position based in Milton Keynes. The Wall Tiler will be responsible for preparing surfaces, setting out work areas, and installing wall tiles in bathrooms, wetrooms, kitchens, and other internal spaces as part of social housing maintenance and adaptation projects.

- Responsibilities:
- Measuring and cutting tiles.
- Mixing and applying adhesive and grout.
- Ensuring accurate alignment and a high-quality finish.
- Completing necessary repairs or retiling in occupied and void properties.
- Collaboration:
- Working closely with other trades.
- Following site safety procedures.
- Maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Expectations:
- Meeting project deadlines.
- Adhering to compliance standards.
- Delivering work that aligns with MK City Limited’s quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in wall tiling, including surface preparation, tile setting, cutting, adhesive application, and grouting.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or job specifications, measure accurately, and plan layouts for bathrooms, wetrooms, and kitchens.
- Solid understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites, especially in occupied social housing properties.
- Experience working within maintenance, refurbishment, or adaptation projects, ideally in social housing or residential settings.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in tiling or a related construction field is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, and ability to work efficiently to agreed timescales.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work professionally with residents, site supervisors, and other trades.
- Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport preferred, with willingness to travel locally as required.
