Acute Services Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in the Acute Services as an Administrator for an individual who is keen to develop their skills. We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to join the service, working in our mental health inpatient wards as a team administrator. Your duties will include supporting patients and their relatives who are admitted into the ward as well as providing comprehensive administrative support to the multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, support workers and other professionals involved in patient care.

The post holder will provide an efficient and professional service ensuring quality service to all users, their families and professionals contacting the Ward. The post holder will also be required to cover other wards within The Chase Building to provide support during absence of other administrators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administration support to multi-disciplinary teams working with a client group with mental health problems.
  • Client and carer telephone contact and face-to-face contact on daily basis.
  • Use good communication skills.
  • Have good organizational skills and experience of dealing with members of the public.
  • Use good communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to use your own initiative.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experienced administrator
  • Excellent verbal & written communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • A true team player and able to use your initiative
  • A multi-tasker with a “can do” attitude
  • Proficient in all MS packages, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Able to swiftly solve problems & work under pressure without compromising quality
  • Work independently and as a team, prioritizing workload in an environment that is constantly changing.

Job Locations

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
