Department: Ward 3

Band 2 pro rata if part-time

Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday - all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

Ward 3 is a 24 bedded medical ward, predominantly Care of the Elderly. We have a large team of doctors, Nurses, and therapy team, and work closely with other multi-disciplinary teams. We are friendly, approachable, and supportive, and looking for a ward clerk to add to our team.

Please note that this post is subject to an initial probationary period of six months, extendable up to a period of 12 months. A DBS check may be required for new employees. MKUH promotes an inclusive workforce and proactively welcomes applications from underrepresented groups in our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Deal with personal effects and documentation relating to lost property and property belonging to patients who have died on the unit.
  • Provide cover as required in the event of another ward clerk within the medical directorate being absent.
  • Liaise with all other departments as needed regarding day-to-day unit communication.

Our services also include neonatology, specialist surgical care, and a wide range of diagnostics, supported by the new Community Diagnostic Centre at Whitehouse Health Centre.
