Exciting Leadership Opportunity for Senior Nurse
An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated senior nurse with an excellent track record of success in leading a team, to join the UHNM Orthopaedic Outpatients and Fracture Clinic. You will be passionate about patient care and will have the foresight and ability to facilitate and lead change.
About the Service
The Orthopaedic outpatients comprises of fracture clinic, plaster room, treatment rooms and associated elective clinics for specialties within the Specialised Surgery CBU. The service provides care and services for adults, children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Clinical Area: The post holder has continuing 24-hour responsibility for the management of the clinical area including assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care, and the setting of standards.
- Outpatients Clinics Management: The post holder will have overall responsibility to manage the running of outpatients clinics within the Specialised Surgery Clinical Business Unit (CBU). This will include fracture clinic and plaster room at both Royal Stoke University Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent, and County Hospital, Stafford.
- Clinical Leadership: The post holder will facilitate innovative and evidence-based nursing practice through professional leadership and supporting the clinical team. They will be directly involved with the implementation and running of Virtual Fracture Clinic.

Requirements
- Experience: Experience of working within trauma & orthopaedics and working within an outpatients setting is essential. Direct related experience within a fast-paced fracture clinic environment and a clinical background in trauma & orthopaedics is essential.
- Skills: The successful applicant will be highly motivated and have good communication skills. They should be a committed team player who has high standards and is passionate about improving the patient experience through the fracture clinic.
