Job Description
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall management of the clinical area, Richmond ward, and the professional development of staff within the Planned Care Division.
- Provide advice and support to the whole multidisciplinary team in caring for patients.
- Maintain high standards of care and be accountable for auditing those standards.
- Maintain a suitable and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Deputise for the Matron in their absence.
Duties
- Provide leadership and professional development for the nursing and support workers within the clinical area.
- Provide professional advice and support to the whole multidisciplinary team in caring for patients.
- Provide nursing leadership for implementation and evaluation of all education, training, and development of staff.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, guidelines, and protocols for the management of patients attending the clinical area in conjunction with the specialist MDT teams.
- Ensure compliance with Trust policies.

Patient Care
- Ensure all patients are provided with a safe and high-quality standard of care.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team to maintain Care Quality Commission standards.
