We are looking for a professional, confident Ward Manager who can lead, inspire & oversee the delivery of the very best care at our new service opening early 2027, Cygnet Delfryn House.
Cygnet Delfryn House is our new Low Secure service for women in North Wales. We support women across two wards, specialising in mental health and personality disorders. The service is due to open in early 2027 and is accepting referrals now.
All of our secure services aim to monitor, manage and reduce risk in a safe and therapeutic setting, in order to help individuals progress towards more independent living.
Your day-to-day…
- Provide suggestions, proposals & recommendations to the Hospital Manager aimed at the continued development of the ward
- Contribute & participate in planned visits to the ward by professional visitors
- Initiate & maintain a monitoring system in relation to professional nursing practice at unit level, including pin numbers & the current registration of all qualified staff
- Ensure that the evaluation of service delivery is user (i.e. patient, carer & family) based
- Advise non-clinical staff within the hospital on management of patients with mental illness
- Ensure patients’ rights to confidentiality are respected & that Cygnet Health Care & professional policies are adhered to.

You are…
- Committed to delivering improvement strategies across all aspects of clinical service provision
- Familiar with an in-patient setting
- Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing others
- Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
- Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans
- Well-informed of the Mental Health Act & the latest nursing practices
- Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk.
