Ward Manager - Cherrywood Ward
Are you an experienced, motivated healthcare leader passionate about delivering high-quality, patient- and staff-centred care? We are looking for a dedicated Ward Manager to join our energetic, supportive team at Cherrywood Ward in Dartford.
Cherrywood Ward is a vibrant acute inpatient environment caring for adults aged 18–65 with complex mental and physical health needs. Situated at Little Brook Hospital alongside other acute and Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), our wards work closely together to ensure outstanding patient outcomes while fostering strong peer support across teams.
In this role, you will lead a diverse multidisciplinary team—including nurses, healthcare assistants, occupational therapists, psychologists, peer support workers, junior doctors, and consultants. Operating on a supernumerary basis, you will drive clinical excellence, champion innovation, and support staff development across the unit, providing direct clinical input whenever needed.
If you are a compassionate leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you.
About Us
We are serious about diversity and inclusion, and we are working hard to build this into our DNA. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
