About The Role

We are looking for an RGN to join our Day and Inpatient Ward teams.

We’re looking for a compassionate and driven Registered Nurse to join our Ward team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a dynamic clinical environment. Reporting to the Ward Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and responsive care while supporting the wider multidisciplinary team.

We are offering the successful candidate to join us on a bank/flexi contract, covering annual leave, sickness, and an increase in activity. This type of contract will allow you to choose the shifts that work around your current commitments.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering high standards of clinical care, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and wellbeing at all times
  • Managing patient admissions, completing documentation, and establishing strong, supportive relationships
  • Working collaboratively with consultants and the multidisciplinary team to ensure treatment plans are carried out effectively
  • Monitoring patient progress and proactively planning interventions to maintain optimal care
  • Supervising and supporting Healthcare Assistants, helping to maintain a positive and professional ward environment
  • Supporting the training, induction, and development of new and existing staff
  • Promoting excellent communication with patients, relatives, and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Contributing to a positive learning culture and participating in team meetings and service improvement initiatives

Shifts Patterns To Be Expected Will Be As Follows

  • Long days 0715-1945
  • Nights 1915-0745 on Inpatients
  • 0800-2023 on day ward

What we'll look for in you

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Part 1) with at least 2 years’ post-registration experience
  • Strong, up-to-date clinical knowledge and a commitment to high standards of patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of infection prevention, health & safety, and relevant legislation
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for developing others and contributing to a supportive team culture
  • A patient-focused mindset with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
