Warehouse & Distribution Administrator
Leicester | £26,994.87 | Monday–Friday | 9:00am–5:00pm | 35 Hours | Permanent
365 People are recruiting for a Warehouse & Distribution Administrator to join an established business in Leicester.
This is a varied, fast-paced administrative position sitting at the heart of the warehouse, distribution and customer service operation. You'll be responsible for helping customer orders move smoothly from processing through to dispatch and delivery. We're looking for somebody who is organised, confident with systems and comfortable coordinating with warehouse teams, transport providers, couriers, customers and other internal departments.
What you'll be doing
- Processing customer orders and supporting the administration of order fulfilment
- Producing warehouse picking tickets, dispatch notes and courier labels
- Supporting warehouse pick-and-pack administration
- Using the company's Transport Management System
- Supporting capacity and route planning
- Preparing routes, manifests and transport documentation
- Coordinating deliveries and collections
- Managing delivery bookings and ensuring the appropriate delivery method is allocated
- Uploading information to courier portals and maintaining accurate delivery data
- Preparing relevant export compliance documentation
- Monitoring orders and identifying potential delivery or fulfilment problems
- Reviewing courier exception reports and following up outstanding issues
- Processing returns and collections
- Investigating customer complaints and delivery issues
- Supporting third-party claims and credit recovery where required
- Maintaining daily, weekly and monthly performance/compliance reports
- Working with internal departments and external providers to resolve problems and maintain excellent customer service
- Maintaining accurate information within the company's ERP and transport systems

What we're looking for
You'll ideally have experience within warehouse administration, distribution, logistics, transport, order processing or a similar operational administration environment.
You'll need to be:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working with multiple systems and accurate data
- Confident communicating with customers, suppliers, couriers and internal teams
- Able to prioritise when several things need attention at once
- Proactive when an order, delivery or collection doesn't go to plan
- Comfortable working in a busy operational environment
- Confident using Microsoft Office and learning ERP/TMS systems
- A good problem solver who takes ownership rather than simply passing problems on

Salary and Benefits
- Salary: £26,994.87 per annum
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday: 9:00am–5:00pm
- Location: Leicester
- Working arrangement: Fully office based
