Summary

Where Saints Go in Hyde are recruiting for a Warehouse and Stock Control Apprentice. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship over the duration of 15 months.

Wage

• £14,560 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
• National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

Training course

• Supply chain warehouse operative (level 2)
• Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm / breaks are 15 mins morn, 30 mins lunch, 15 mins aft unpaid. 35 hours a week
• Start date: Friday 27 November 2026

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

• Receiving and checking incoming stock
• Picking and preparing customer orders
• Checking products and packaging before dispatch
• Allocating products to the correct warehouse locations
• Using our inventory and order management systems
• Carrying out regular stock counts and cycle counts
• Comparing physical stock with system stock
• Investigating and reporting stock discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate warehouse location records
• Recording damaged, returned and seconds’ stock
• Assisting with customer returns and ensuring returned products are checked thoroughly
• Completing relevant warehouse and stock paperwork
• Helping produce regular stock reports
• Identifying damaged, slow-moving, incorrectly located or incorrectly recorded stock
• Helping maintain a clean, organised and efficient warehouse
• Supporting the wider warehouse and operations team when required
