About the opportunity

We are working with a well-established manufacturer in Bradford who are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to oversee their transport and warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient running of the business.

You will manage around a team of HGV drivers, alongside agency drivers and subcontractors, while working closely with the warehouse team to ensure orders are fulfilled and delivered on time.

In particular, you will:

  • Manage the transport office, drivers, agency workers and subcontractors
  • Oversee driver recruitment, training, performance and availability
  • Ensure compliance with the Operator's Licence, drivers' hours, CPC, licences and medicals
  • Maintain oversight of delivery plans, monitoring delivery progress and ensuring schedules remain on track. Take responsibility for route planning and schedule changes when the Transport Planner is absent, including covering driver sickness and last-minute changes
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, agencies and 3PL providers
  • Work closely with warehouse teams to maintain smooth order fulfilment and deliveries
  • Oversee warehouse staffing, rotas, stock management and process improvements
  • Manage the HGV garage, mechanic, vehicle maintenance and repair costs
  • Monitor fuel usage, transport budgets, KPIs and operational efficiency
  • Handle driver queries and support the smooth running of the operation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
