Are you looking for a dynamic and rewarding role? We are seeking Warehouse Assistants to join various areas within our Fulfilment team in IKEA Belfast.

In IKEA we call these Fulfilment Operations Co-workers.

As part of our fantastic team you'll help ensure all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes are available to meet our customers, to do this you must be comfortable with extensive manual handling.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The Start Date of employment will be the beginning of October 2026
  • This role offers £13.45 per hour.
  • Various contract sizes and shift patterns noted below all working 2 out of 3 weekends - you will be asked your preference as part during your application.

Order Picking

  • on 12 or 18 hour contracts working early morning from 6am with 1 evening shift finishing at 8:30pm per week
  • Picking and preparing orders for both online and in-store collection or delivery.

Customer Facing

  • on 12 hour contracts covering shifts between 8am and 8:30pm
  • Support customers in the self-service area of the warehouse, ensuring stock is organized and available while collaborating with other departments across the store or handing out customers picked order when they come to collect.

Warehouse/Loading

  • on 20 hour contracts working evenings only between 2:30pm-8:30pm
  • Loading products onto vans and general warehouse duties, this is a physically demanding role.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the enthusiasm to thrive in an active workplace.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with IT systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate productively in group efforts.
  • Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.
  • Be comfortable with manual handling.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Manual handling of heavy stock.
  • Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
