5:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Monday – Friday, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays)

Outbound Role:
12:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Monday – Friday, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays)

Job Description

Join our team as a Home Warehouse Assistant at The Sofa Delivery Company and play a vital part in getting furniture ready for its new home.

  • Rigorously check all inbound goods are of the correct standard and report any which are not, to ensure that stock is not putaway in less than perfect condition
  • Palletise stock in line with Company guidelines and put away accurately to high bay racking using fork lift truck equipment
  • When picking outbound orders, using Fork Lift Truck equipment, report any damage or defects to goods to ensure they do not arrive to customers in less than perfect condition
  • Process customer returns in a timely manner, following agreed system processes
  • Handle all goods, using your specialised training, with the safety and care that you would your own

The Role is for You If...

  • You’re comfortable lifting heavy furniture.
  • You take pride in your work and prioritise safety – both for yourself and others around you.
  • You enjoy variety in your day and welcome the occasional challenge.
  • You have a strong work ethic and enjoy being part of a fun, welcoming team
  • Hold an up to date reach truck license or be willing to undergo training within your first 3 months of starting (novice or conversion)
  • Willing to adapt your role to the needs of the business when necessary e.g. be trained on different or additional equipment, work in another department or CDC
  • Have previous knowledge of or be willing to undergo training on Warehouse Management Systems
  • Uphold brilliant standards of personal presentation every day
  • Professional conduct at all times when representing the Company to its customers
  • Physically able to complete the requirements of the role
  • Experience of working as part of a strong, well-functioning team
