Warehouse Assistant (Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and sign for supplier deliveries upon arrival, noting any discrepancies.
  • Properly store inbound stock/Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch.
  • Check outbound orders against the dispatch schedule.
  • Ensure stock is current and not expired.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas, including fridges.
  • Secure storage areas when necessary.
  • Provide support to Inventory Controllers with orders, deliveries, and merchandising.
  • Follow all company policies, especially regarding health and safety.
  • Perform manual handling tasks, including operating forklifts and pump trucks.
  • Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.

  • Proven experience in a food delivery environment.
  • Experience with invoices and purchase orders, with knowledge of stock management.
  • Food hygiene certificate/Health and Safety certificate (Desirable).
  • IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel (Desirable).
  • Full valid UK driver’s license/Forklift truck driving license (Desirable).
