Job Opportunity at Oxford Pharmacy Store (OPS)
Oxford Pharmacy Store (OPS), an NHS-owned pharmaceutical wholesaler, is seeking a proactive and reliable Warehouse Caretaker to support the safe, secure, and efficient operation of our warehouse facility in Banbury.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating site caretaking and facilities activities, ensuring the warehouse remains compliant, well-maintained, and fit for operational use. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and Trust support services to maintain high standards of health, safety, and security across the site.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day caretaking and safe running of the warehouse site.
- Act as Health and Safety Officer for the site, supporting compliance with local procedures and Trust policies.
- Coordinate the cleaning contract and oversee the day-to-day delivery of cleaning services, including liaison with appointed providers.
- Coordinate pest control arrangements and ensure any issues are reported, monitored, and followed up.
- Arrange, monitor, and oversee maintenance activity for key site equipment, including forklifts, pallet trucks, MEWPs, air-conditioning units, and fridges, working with relevant colleagues where required.
- Coordinate servicing, maintenance, and issue resolution for fire alarms, intruder alarms, fire extinguishers, and related site safety systems.
