Alexander Steele are working with an established food manufacturing business to recruit an Inbound Warehouse Controller for their site in Hitchin.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing inbound warehouse operations, ensuring deliveries are received, checked, and processed efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and stock control while managing a team of 5.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day inbound warehouse operation, ensuring deliveries are received and processed efficiently.
  • Coordinate the receipt, checking, and storage of raw materials and ingredients.
  • Ensure stock is accurately recorded and controlled within the warehouse.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and housekeeping.
  • Work closely with production, logistics, and other departments to ensure materials are available when required.
  • Ensure all relevant warehouse documentation and systems are accurately maintained.
  • Support the smooth running and organisation of the warehouse to maximise efficiency.

  • Hourly rate of up to £16.50 per hour, DOE.
  • Working hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm.
  • Monday – Friday working pattern.
  • Opportunity to work within an established food manufacturing business.
