About the Role

As a Warehouse Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for our logistics operation during your assigned shift. You will help manage a team of employees, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and according to company policies and procedure. Your role will be vital in maintaining a smooth and productive workflow, meeting customer demands, and optimizing the overall efficiency of Mulberry’s logistics operation.

Duties & Responsibilities

Leading the Warehouse Team

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of dedicated warehouse operatives.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Resolve any operational issues or conflicts that arise during your shift, escalating to upper management when necessary.

Efficient Operations

  • Develop and implement streamlined processes and procedures to expedite operations.
  • Continuously monitor and improve productivity levels to meet or exceed targets.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Resolve any operational issues or conflicts that arise during your shift, escalating to upper management when necessary.

Teams

  • Hold daily meetings to update the team.
  • Provide support to Warehouse operatives within the area, covering training/mentoring and providing assistance when required.
  • Support the Warehouse Lead in preparation for the teams regular 1-2-1 meetings.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Previous experience in logistics management or a related field, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics operations, including warehouse management, inventory control, and transportation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in using logistics management software and tools, such as inventory management and systems software (preferably Manhattan.)
  • Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, and Bank Holidays, as required.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and confident in using Microsoft Excel.
