YOUR ROLE

Our e-commerce operation based in Derby, East Midlands Gateway, who provides essential logistic services such as inbound and outbound customer fulfilment and value-added services, have an exciting opportunity for a meticulous Warehouse Coordinators to join the team. This pivotal role will support the Shift Manager with daily operational activities, ensuring all operational tasks are allocated and completed efficiently and effectively to meet operational demand and customer satisfaction.

The shift pattern for this role is a rotating 4 on/3 off or 3 on/4 off schedule (Wednesday to Saturday/ Thursday to Saturday) 08:00-20:00.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Shift Manager you will ensure all operational tasks are allocated and carried out to the highest standard, with a focus on team performance and team KPIs. You will actively promote a culture of health and safety across the site, ensuring regulations are adhered to and accidents and incidents are reported and recorded. You will coordinate and communicate with shift colleagues regularly supporting the Shift Manager with shift briefs, attendance and performance reporting, resolving operational issues, review planned labour and ensuring sufficient utilisation of colleagues and ensure all colleagues are trained recommending opportunities for upskilling and development.

While this role will have no direct reports, you will collaborate with the Shift Manager and wider shifts in helping to drive a culture of continuous improvement, promote a positive environment with focuses on safety, quality and performance to enable operational success. You will lead by example, ensuring site rules are adhered and any unsafe or unacceptable behaviours are challenges or escalated.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application you will be able to demonstrate previous experience of coordinating, collaborating and leading operational teams, ideally within a warehousing or 3PL environment. You will have strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and a proven track record of monitoring, measuring, and contributing to operational KPIs. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to form relationships internally and externally, possess excellent customer service skills, be a logical thinker and natural problem solver who can prioritise their own workload with efficiency and accuracy and able to adapt to operational changes.
