Working Hours: This is a full-time role, covering 35hrs per week

The Role
This role will be part of the Performance Department Operations Team, and will work closely with the Team Operations Managers, as well as linking in with the Team Kit Managers, and providing a valuable communication channel between the Operations Team and the Commercial and Procurement Departments. The Operations Team are often in camp or working remotely, so many of our team meetings are online via Teams, but we also have designated ‘in person’ Team Meetings several times a season at the stadium.
The Warehouse & Equipment Manager is responsible for the effective management, storage, distribution and lifecycle of all rugby performance equipment and consumables supporting England Rugby performance programmes.
The role plays a critical part in enabling Performance Team Operations Managers by ensuring training environments are consistently equipped, compliant and ready to perform.
This role requires a highly organised, proactive individual with experience in logistics, inventory management and elite sporting environments.

- Manage day-to-day operations of the performance storage facilities (Warehouse & Allianz Stadium) ensuring safe, organised and efficient storage of all equipment.
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records across all performance programmes.
- Oversee stock control, audits, reordering and asset lifecycle management.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, serviced, always repaired and fit for purpose.
Equipment & Logistics Support
- Produce seasonal logistical calendars detailing when orders need to be placed, delivered and then distributed to team.
- Coordinate, with the support of Kit Managers, the timely preparation, packing and distribution of equipment for camps, matches, tours and overseas travel.
- Logistical co-ordination of any equipment shared across the teams.
- Work closely with Performance Team Operations Managers to understand programme requirements and deliver against timelines.
- Manage inbound and outbound freight, as requested by Team Ops Managers, including customs documentation where required.
- Manage the calendar and maintenance of the department kit van.
- Support venue set-ups and breakdowns for training camps when required.
- Provide Kit Manager support to teams when required.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Assist the Commercial & Procurement teams with kit delivery tracking and reporting of missing items.
- Manage relationships with equipment suppliers and service providers.
- Manage the feedback process to suppliers, including the tracking of faulty products and resolutions.
- Support procurement processes and quotations for additional kit and equipment needed by Team Operations Managers.
- Provide clear communication and regular updates to operations and performance stakeholders.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all warehouse operations comply with health & safety regulations and England Rugby policies.
- Maintain risk assessments, manual handling procedures and safe working practices.
- Ensure equipment meets safety, regulatory and sport-specific compliance standards.
General
- Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the current strategic, business and operational plans.
- Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of the RFU, including the promotion of our culture and core values – This Rose Means Everyone: Put The Team First, Shape The Future, Respect Each Other.
- Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the organisation.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential:
- Proven experience in warehouse, logistics or equipment management (sporting or high-performance environment desirable).
- Strong organisational and inventory management skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Competent IT skills, including inventory or asset management systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and travel as required.
