We're now looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our Belfast operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, lead a small team, and help create a safe, positive and high-performing environment.
This role sits at First Line Manager level and is ideal for an experienced warehouse professional, supervisor or early-career manager looking to take the next step.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Leading by example to promote a strong Safety-First culture, including the day-to-day use of Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS)
- Making sure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) are up to date, clearly displayed and followed correctly on the shop floor
- Supporting the smooth running of the daily warehouse operation, ensuring customer and business expectations are met
- Helping to maintain standards across quality, safety and operational management systems
- Engaging with your team throughout the shift, encouraging positive behaviours, consistency and open communication
- Taking ownership of issues within your area, while knowing when to escalate or ask for support

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Has previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or similar environment
- Has experience leading, supervising or managing a small team (desirable but not essential)
- Is confident using basic IT systems such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Is comfortable working with a level of independence and accountability
- Is looking to develop their leadership and management skills - DHL provides training and upskilling to support your growth
