Warehouse Fork Truck Operator (FLT)

Telford, Shropshire

£15.58 per hour (first 12 weeks)

£15.67 per hour (after 12 weeks)

12-hour Rotating Days & Nights

Ongoing Temporary Contract

Adecco is recruiting for a Warehouse Fork Truck Operator (FLT) to join our onsite client in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional with a valid RTITB Counterbalance Fork Truck licence who is looking to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About The Role

As a Warehouse Fork Truck Operator, you will support the safe and efficient running of warehouse operations while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, delivery, and performance are maintained.

You will work closely with Team Leaders and warehouse colleagues to ensure warehouse and production requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Counterbalance Fork Truck safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, store, move, pick, and dispatch goods accurately.
  • Complete stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
  • Generate pick lists and maintain warehouse documentation.
  • Support production and dispatch operations to minimise disruption.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control.
  • Promote Health & Safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure warehouse standards and compliance procedures are maintained.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve operational targets.

What We're Looking For

  • Valid RTITB Counterbalance Fork Truck licence (essential).
  • Previous warehouse and logistics experience.
  • Good understanding of stock control and warehouse processes.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and warehouse systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.
  • Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented approach.
