Warehouse/ Logistics/ Manufacturing Tutor
Location: HMP Dovegate, Staffordshire ST14 8XR
Salary: £33,738 - £37,652 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: 08.15 am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. 40 hours per week

As a Warehouse/ Logistics or Manufacturing Tutor in our Justice and Immigration team, you’ll deliver hands on, practical and work-focused learning that helps people in custody build skills, confidence, and qualifications that support rehabilitation and future employability. You’ll shape positive learning experiences that open doors, increase opportunity, and create a meaningful pathway forward.
Your role will help learners develop industry-relevant skills and secure recognised qualifications, building their readiness for work and strengthening their long-term prospects. Through high-quality teaching, inclusive practice, and a purposeful learning environment, you’ll help create a future where every learner has the chance to progress.
What you’ll do as a Warehouse/ Logistics or Manufacturing Tutor
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Deliver engaging, practical learning across vocational disciplines, embedding employability, functional skills, and British Values throughout.
- Create and maintain Individual Learning Plans and closely track learner progress and achievement.
- Design schemes of work, lesson plans and “roll-on, roll-off” programmes that respond to a changing learner population.
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring learning materials and resources remain current and effective.
- Administer assessments, marking and accreditation processes in line with awarding requirements.
- Provide pastoral support as a Personal Tutor, helping learners build confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours.
- Maintain safe, inclusive and motivating learning environments that follow all security and safeguarding protocols.
- Keep accurate learner records, registers and documentation to support compliance and quality assurance.
- Work collaboratively with education managers, vocational supervisors and colleagues to deliver a cohesive and supportive learner experience.
- Promote vocational programmes and engage with internal and external partners to raise awareness and opportunity.

Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Experience delivering Warehouse/ Logistics/ manufacturing skills or work-based learning within education, training or industry settings.
- A minimum Level 3 teaching qualification and Level 3 assessor qualification.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and support diverse learners.
- A commitment to high-quality teaching, continuous improvement, and inclusive learning practice.
- Confidence working in a structured environment with clear safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Vetting and checks:
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
