Role Description
The Warehouse Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and ensuring smooth, efficient workflows. This role includes:
- Managing inventory levels
- Supervising stock movement
- Coordinating receipt and dispatch of goods
- Maintaining accurate records

The Warehouse Manager will:

- Lead and support the warehouse team
- Monitor performance
- Enforce health and safety standards
- Optimize space utilization and processes
The role also involves:
- Liaising with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to meet service and delivery targets
- Resolving operational issues
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Strong stock control and inventory control skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reduce discrepancies.
- Experience in inventory management and operations management within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in forklift operation and safe handling of materials; relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), basic IT skills, and comfort working with data and reporting tools.
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising teams, scheduling staff, and managing performance.
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a warehouse management or senior warehouse supervisory role; vocational or academic qualifications in logistics, supply chain, or a related field are beneficial.
