We’re recruiting a Warehouse Operations Manager for a leading national foodservice wholesaler, taking responsibility for a busy, fast-paced, multi-temperature warehouse operation.

Do you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role? Find out below.

This is a key leadership position for someone who enjoys being close to the operation – leading from the front, developing people, improving performance and ensuring the warehouse consistently delivers against service, safety and productivity targets.

You’ll have significant autonomy and responsibility, leading teams across multiple shifts and working closely with other operational functions to ensure customers receive the right products, at the right time, every day.

The Role

As Warehouse Operations Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the warehouse operation, with responsibility for people, service, productivity, safety and cost.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading, developing and motivating warehouse teams across a 24/7 operation
  • Driving performance against key operational KPIs including productivity, service, accuracy and cost
  • Creating a positive, accountable culture where colleagues understand what is expected and are supported to perform at their best
  • Coaching and developing managers and team leaders, building capability across the operation
  • Ensuring labour and resources are effectively planned in line with operational demand
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety, food safety, compliance and operational discipline
  • Managing budgets and controlling costs while protecting service levels
  • Working closely with stock control to minimise waste, improve availability and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, productivity and ways of working
  • Leading operational change and ensuring improvements are successfully embedded
  • Working collaboratively with transport, sales, customer service and other departments to deliver a joined-up service
  • Using operational data to identify trends, address performance issues and drive continuous improvement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
