Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (Dependant on experience) + benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week
Loom Talent are excited to be supporting a large, established logistics and distribution business operating a high-volume, time-sensitive operation across the UK.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join a busy operation, taking responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of Warehouse Operations.
This is a hands-on management operational role, you will support, motivate and lead a team, drive operational performance and maintain high standards across health & safety, service, productivity, quality and cost.
You'll play a key role within the site leadership team, driving the right behaviours, developing your people and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Duties of a Warehouse Operations Manager:
- Lead the day-to-day Inbound and Outbound warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality performance.
- Manage, motivate and develop operational teams, driving accountability and strong performance.
- Manage labour, budgets and resources to deliver against agreed KPIs and cost targets.
- Drive continuous improvement, improving productivity, efficiency and operational processes.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance and housekeeping across the site.
- Ensure stock and inventory processes are managed accurately and effectively.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve operational issues and deliver excellent customer service.
- Set objectives, manage performance and support the development of future operational leaders.
- Deputise for the General Manager when required.

Requirements:
This role would suit an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager looking to take the next step in their management career, or an established Warehouse Manager who enjoys being a steady pair of hands, leading a team and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly.
- Previous Warehouse Operational experience
- People Management experience - ability support, motivate and develop a team
- Experience and understanding of HR processes - Performance, Absence management, disciplinary and investigations etc
- Good working knowledge and standards of Health and Safety
- Ability to work in a busy, high pressurised environment
- IT literate - good working knowledge of MS packages and WMS
Package:
- Salary on offer: Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE)
- 33 days holiday inclusive
