About Yusen Logistics
Yusen Logistics is working to become the world’s preferred supply chain logistics company. Our complete offer is designed to forge better connections between businesses, customers, and communities – through innovative supply chain management, freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution services. As a company, we’re dedicated to a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring everyone who works with us is committed, connected, and creative in making us the world’s preferred choice.
We are now looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team in Erith, Dartford (DA18 4AF) on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work Monday to Friday between 05:00 and 17:00 and cover night shifts where necessary.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to join a growing organisation and play a central role in a busy, influential logistics operation. You’ll be right at the heart of the action—leading from the front, staying close to the operation, and ensuring processes are followed with consistency and precision.
You’ll refine your expertise, strengthen your leadership credentials, and gain exposure to high impact activity that will elevate your career. Just as importantly, you’ll have the chance to build and nurture your own team—supporting their development, guiding their growth, and creating an environment where people thrive through clear direction and strong operational discipline.
If you’re ready to take the next step with a global logistics leader, this could be the perfect fit.
The Role
As Warehouse Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of day-to-day operations at our Erith site—ensuring everything runs safely, compliantly, and in line with company processes.
You will lead, coach, and develop the warehouse team, embedding a strong health and safety culture and ensuring all colleagues follow procedures consistently. You’ll oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning to maintain a high performing operation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
