Warehouse Operations Manager

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team in Greenford, supporting our customer, Waitrose. As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and developing a culture of continuous improvement, while working closely with First Line Managers and operational teams to deliver an outstanding performance and exceptional service to our customer.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working an any 5 from 7 shift pattern of 06:00 till 14:00. With this being a senior role, we do ask for some flexibility to support other shifts when required, this is logistics after all!

- Salary: Up to £49,152.00 per annum
- Annual Leave: 33 days (inclusive of bank holidays)

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day
- Ensure operational KPI targets are consistently achieved across productivity, service, cost and quality measures
- Deputise for the Lead Warehouse Operations Manager and Assistant General Manager when required
- Ensure strategic objectives are effectively communicated and understood throughout the operation
- Champion employee engagement and foster an inclusive, respectful workplace culture
- Lead, motivate and develop large operational teams to achieve business objectives

What You Need to Succeed at GXO
- Demonstrate drive, energy and a commitment to the continuous improvement of overall contract performance
- Strong understanding of warehouse performance metrics, resource planning and KPI management
- Ability to liaise effectively with customers, colleagues and third-party stakeholders to achieve operational objectives and service excellence
- Proactive, inquisitive and passionate about challenging teams to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement
