Exciting Career Opportunity as a Warehouse Operative at Urban Logistics in Newbury!
Urban Logistics are the supply chain and logistics division within the KION Group, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment with over 42,000 employees. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key player in driving the group's internal supply chain.
We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Operative to support the efficient and safe operation of the Newbury Spare Parts Warehouse by accurately receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching parts to meet customer and business requirements. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, inspect, and accurately book-in inbound deliveries, reporting any discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
- Store goods in designated warehouse locations in accordance with established procedures and stock rotation requirements.
- Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch spare parts to meet customer, engineer, and business requirements within agreed service levels.
- Prepare outbound shipments and associated documentation using approved carrier and transport systems.
- Carry out regular stock checks, cycle counts, and inventory audits to maintain a high level of stock accuracy.
- Investigate and assist in resolving stock discrepancies, damaged stock, and inventory issues.
- Ensure all warehouse transactions are correctly recorded within warehouse management and inventory systems.
- Support the timely provision of spare parts to maximize customer satisfaction, engineer productivity, and equipment uptime.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles while ensuring goods are handled safely and securely.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the efficient operation of the warehouse.

- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center role (desirable but not essential)
- Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Proactive and able to take initiative to solve problems
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management systems
- Numerical competency
