About the Role

Do you want to be part of something brand new right from day one? Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative looking for a role in an environment where quality, pride and teamwork genuinely matter? Would you enjoy helping shape a new operation from the ground up and setting the standard for how things are done going forward?

Here at GXO Daventry we are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join us at our new M&S site. From receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and dispatching orders you will be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘any 5 days from 7’ pattern, covering the hours of 06:00 to 14:00 (fixed AM shift) or 14:00 to 22:00 (fixed PM shift)

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

  • Support inbound, outbound and stock control activities using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including receipting, dispatch and general warehouse operations
  • Operate LLOP trucks to move and pick stock safely and accurately, handling products with care and a high level of attention to detail
  • Work efficiently and flexibly to meet daily operational targets and KPIs, both independently and as part of a wider team in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area by following all Health & Safety requirements, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures, while proactively reporting hazards and identifying improvement opportunities

What You Need to Succeed at GXO

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, operational or warehouse environment, with FLT licences an advantage but not essential as full training can be provided
  • A self-motivated and reliable approach, with the ability to work honestly and with integrity at all times
  • The ability to work safely and accurately, following processes and SOPs with a strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude, with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team
