We’re looking for our next Warehouse Operative

To join our Supply Chain Team in Raynesway, Derby. Read on to find out what the role is all about…

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

In the role, typical tasks involve:

  • Receipting, issuing and returning stock.
  • Identifying when materials need replenishing.
  • Monitoring purchase requisitions ensuring suppliers receive purchase orders.
  • Delivering to a number of sites throughout the Severn Trent network.

You’ll regularly liaise with Team Leaders to assist improvements with materials management and lead times to improve performance.

Working with suppliers is key as you’ll raise any discrepancies of deliveries, damaged goods and quality control concerns.

The role will be Derby based but you may be expected to cover and work in other regions in line with business needs so a valid driving licence is required.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Due to the nature of the role, we’re looking for someone with experience in a manual and physical role particularly from a Warehouse or Supply Chain background.

Good IT skills are also important as you’ll updating a system called SAP and Microsoft Excel daily.

A health and safety conscious mind is crucial due to the work environment, focusing on keeping you and your colleagues safe.

Our aim is to deliver a quality service so someone who has high standards, is customer oriented and a problem solver is key.

If you have a Fork-lift Truck licence (Reach & Counterbalance) this would be a bonus, but this isn’t essential as training can be provided.

The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.
