Responsibilities

  • Carry out a variety of warehouse duties, including receiving, storing, handling, and distributing raw materials and finished products.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Operate warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory and maintain records.
  • Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment and report any defects, damage, or maintenance requirements.
  • Support inventory control activities by carrying out regular stock counts and assisting with the investigation of any discrepancies.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Adhere to all site quality standards, procedures, and company policies.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Assist with general housekeeping duties within the warehouse and goods-in areas.
  • Support the wider operations team as required to ensure efficient day-to-day business activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in materials handling, including the safe lifting, movement, and storage of goods.
  • Valid forklift truck (FLT) licence and proven ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Good numerical skills, with the ability to accurately complete inventory transactions, stock checks, and order fulfilment activities.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems and electronic stock control processes.
  • SAP experience is essential, including the ability to perform system transactions accurately and maintain stock records.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with management when required.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
  • Must hold a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
  • FLT operation: 3 years (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when completing paperwork and system transactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Positive attitude with a flexible and proactive approach to work.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
