Role Description
The Warehouse Operative role at The E-Cig Store is a full-time, on-site position based in Stockport. The role involves receiving and unloading deliveries, checking goods against documentation, and safely moving stock within the warehouse. Daily tasks include packing and labeling orders, organizing inventory, replenishing stock for stores, and preparing items for dispatch in line with company standards. The Warehouse Operative will follow health and safety procedures, operate warehouse equipment where authorized, keep work areas clean and orderly, and work closely with colleagues to meet deadlines and maintain accurate stock levels.

- Candidates should possess practical skills in unloading and material handling to manage incoming and outgoing goods safely and efficiently.
- Candidates should possess packing skills to prepare, label, and organize orders accurately for dispatch and store replenishment.
- Candidates should possess forklift operation skills (where licensed and applicable) to move and store pallets and larger items within the warehouse.
- Candidates should possess strong health & safety awareness to follow procedures, use equipment correctly, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail distribution is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are important.
- Basic computer skills for stock systems and order processing are an advantage.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks and stand for extended periods is required.
