Job Description: Warehouse Operative

We are a busy fresh-cut fruit factory, currently looking for Warehouse Operatives to support our Stock Team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring fruit is safely and efficiently unloaded from incoming lorries, accurately checked against delivery paperwork, and correctly booked into the SI system. Stock will then be allocated to the appropriate chillers so it can be picked and assembled ready for supply to Production.

Main Duties

  • To drive and handle all MHE equipment in a respectful, controlled, and safe manner ensuring all start-up documents are filled in correctly
  • Moving of pallets/stock around the warehouse in a safe and controlled manner
  • Unload delivery vehicles that arrive on site in a safe and controlled manner following all intake processes
  • Take ownership of delivery note and ensure these are signed and passed onto the area Supervisor/Team leader
  • Understand how to read the picking lists/plans to identify correct stocks needed for production
  • Pick and supply fruit in advance according to the daily plans and supply to the Low Risk Ramp in preparation for production

Who Are We Looking For

  • Must hold a current valid FLT/PPT certification
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
  • Good level of English communication skills (Speaking, Writing, and Listening)
  • Show good teamwork skills and be able to work/liaise together to ensure team goals/objectives are successfully achieved
  • Experience in Warehouse work is compulsory

Working Pattern

  • 05:00 - 17:00
  • Wednesday to Saturday

Pay Rates

Hourly pay is based on experience and skill level:

  • Level 1 (L1): £13.34 per hour
  • Level 2 (L2): £14.10 per hour
  • Level 3 (L3): £14.43 per hour
