Job Type / Contract: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent

Location: Colchester, Essex

Salary / Pay Rate: £13.12 per hour

Shift / Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (Training Shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm)

About The Role

All Square Recruitment is excited to partner with a reputable client based in Colchester, Essex, to recruit a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Operative. This is a fantastic temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering genuine long-term stability, working within a busy warehouse and production environment. The role is primarily focused on general warehouse duties, with occasional forklift operation making up part of your responsibilities, so you’ll join a friendly and supportive management team that values consistency and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general warehouse duties, including goods-in, picking, and organising stock within a busy production environment
  • Load goods into the warehouse in a timely and organised manner
  • Operate a Forklift safely and efficiently as required, supporting wider warehouse operations
  • Work within a fast-paced goods-in department, supporting daily operational demands
  • Collaborate closely with the wider team to ensure goods are handled and processed efficiently
  • Carry out manual handling duties, including the regular lifting of items up to 25kg
  • Adhere strictly to health & safety and manual handling guidelines at all times
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with warehouse procedures

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

  • A valid, in-date Forklift licence is essential
  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or within a warehouse/logistics environment is highly desirable
  • Comfortable and confident with manual handling, including regularly lifting up to 25kg
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, reliability, and a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to work within a busy goods-in and production environment
