Warehouse Operative Opportunity

Are you a Warehouse Operative ready to join a fast-paced distribution team? This permanent Warehouse Operative opportunity at our Leeds Depot involves packing milk into trolleys and moving them safely across the chill, while supporting the day-to-day delivery of goods.

What’s in it for you:

  • Shift pattern: Friday to Tuesday - 14:00pm - 22:30pm - 5 on 2 off (Wednesday & Thursday rest days)

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable, with good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Positive, self-motivated and able to work independently using initiative.
  • A reliable team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An excellent attitude to work and ability to carry out physical duties in a chilled, fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Pick and prepare customer orders using voice technology, ensuring products are selected accurately and ready for distribution.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound vehicles safely, rotate stock, check date codes, and replenish materials when required.
  • Operate warehouse equipment efficiently to achieve the required output and support the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, risk assessments, and safety requirements at all times.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and environmental compliance, following a clean-as-you-go approach.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments, support job-related training, and complete other reasonable duties as required.

What you’ll receive:

  • Pay rates are £13.17 per hour basic, £19.76 per hour for overtime, £16.46 per hour on Saturdays, and £19.76 per hour on Sundays.
  • 23% uplift for unsociable hours worked between 6pm and 4am: an additional £3.03 per hour.
  • Full-time permanent contract.
  • 25 days’ holiday, increasing with service.
