Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Business: TPS Healthcare
Location: Measham DE12 7DT
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week – 7am to 3.30pm/ 10am to 6.30pm on a weekly rotational basis
TPS Healthcare, based at Measham (near Swadlincote, Derbyshire) is part of Vital Healthcare and provides services and supplies medical equipment and devices to the healthcare sector.
We have a full-time vacancy for Warehouse Operative offering 40 hours per week on permanent contract, participating in a shift system on a rota basis. The hours of work are 7am to 3.30pm and 10am to 6.30pm on a weekly rotational basis.
We are looking for experienced warehouse personnel to work between Monday and Friday at our Measham warehouse and distribution centre. Flexi-truck driving experience would be an advantage. You will be responsible, as part of a team, for picking, packing, and the despatch of medical equipment and supplies.

Overall Purpose of Role
To ensure that all stock and process-related activities are undertaken in accordance with the Company's practices, procedures, and quality system, without error and safely.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
The principal duties and responsibilities for this position include:
- Accurate order checking, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods as per procedure and instructions
- Goods inwards, checking, sorting, and put-away of products received
- Reporting any discrepancies or problems to line manager/supervisor without delay
- Excellent communication with all relevant departments within the organisation
- General housekeeping to ensure that stock is stored in a safe and clean environment
- Stock taking and regular cycle counting (involving some weekend/after-hours work)
- Opening and closing of facility
- Processing of returns from customers
- Participation in appropriate training as may be required from time to time
- Experienced in the operation of Materials Handling Equipment/fork lifts (subject to licence/training status) – desirable but not essential
- Keeping your designated area tidy and clean

Qualifications & Experience Required
The principal skills, experience, and personal characteristics required for this role are:
- Minimum 1 year’s Warehouse experience, i.e., goods in, put-away, pick, pack, dispatch & stock control
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail
- Friendly, flexible, and be willing to work as part of a team
- Good organisational and communications skills
- Ability to work under pressure and own initiative
- Hands-on experience with warehouse computer systems advantageous, especially SAP
- Physical good health record as lifting work is essential
