At GXO Sainsbury's, we are looking for full-time, permanent Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Sherburn-in-Elmet. From receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders, you'll play a key role in ensuring our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently.

This role involves working across our ambient, chilled, produce, and freezer departments, providing a varied and dynamic working environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 5 days out of 7, working 22.00-06.00

Please note that public transport options to the site are very limited, so you must be able to make your own travel arrangements to ensure you can arrive on time for the start of your shift.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll:

  • Operate MHE equipment where required (full training provided)
  • Pick and pack products accurately for retail deliveries, maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Meet performance, attendance, and behavioural standards in line with company policies and procedures
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve operational KPIs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Follow all Safe Systems of Work, Standard Operating Procedures, and hygiene requirements

What You Need to Succeed at GXO:

  • Be willing to work in a multi-temperature warehouse environment
  • Demonstrate a positive, flexible attitude with a commitment to getting things right first time
  • Be comfortable carrying out manual handling activities, including lifting, pushing, and pulling
  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training can be provided
  • Understand the importance of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment
  • Take initiative and actively contribute ideas that enhance team performance, productivity, and efficiency
