Summary

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Hours/working pattern: 1000 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

Hours are 1000 hours per annum; 20 hours per week for 50 weeks. (the last 2 weeks of the year are not worked as part of the annualised hours contract). Days worked will be Monday; Wednesday; Thursday and Friday normally. This may change depending on the business requirements. You will work 5 hours on each of these days.

Previous Warehouse Experience Is Not Essential, But Is Helpful.

What it's like to work here

The National Trust Distribution Centre in Melksham is a small but important part of the operation of the Trust. We pick and pack orders for our retail shops and other locations. Working as part of a small team you'll support or retail and visitor operations, delivering the items they need on time and accurately.

What you'll be doing

You'll be picking orders for our gift shops and visitor reception centres, using a manual or electric pallet truck. It's a physical role, using a hand held terminal to pick the items onto a pallet, into boxes or totes. Accuracy is important and making sure the stock arrives in perfect condition is also essential.
