Monkhouse Schoolwear Specialists, established in 1938, is one of the country’s largest multi-channel retailers of school uniforms and is part of Banner Ltd, the largest manufacturer of school uniforms.

Requirements

To be successful in applying for the job you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience working within a warehouse and online dispatch facility.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, with training provided on all warehouse management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Adhere to and promote warehouse safety practices.
  • Effective communication skills.

Daily Tasks

Your day to day tasks will look like this:

  • Daily pick, pack, and dispatch online orders and deliver to stores.
  • Follow goods in processes.
  • Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
  • Adhere to operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
  • Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner.
  • Treating merchandise with care and concern at all times.
  • Working at height and transferring stock from one location to another.

Hours

This is a 40 hours a week, working on a monthly rota system working across Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, with occasional support required on a Saturday. During our peak season (June to September), we require some flexibility to support additional hours depending on the business's needs.

We are located in Paddock Wood, Kent, with plenty of free parking and good transport links.
