Location: Barnsley | Full-time, Permanent | Salary Range: £29,857.11 to £30,077.19+ Benefits

What We Do

STEF Langdons delivers chilled and frozen food to almost any location across the UK and Ireland within 24 hours, supported by 12 depots and a fleet of over 500 vehicles.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll help ensure customer goods are received, handled, stored and dispatched safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Receiving and checking incoming loads, including packaging and labelling.
  • Handling and securing stock in line with food safety requirements.
  • Operating designated mechanical handling equipment safely.
  • Preparing loads for dispatch and loading vehicles.
  • Completing quality, cleanliness and hygiene checks.
  • Identifying and addressing hazards to maintain a safe working environment.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • An up-to-date licence for designated mechanical handling equipment.
  • Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse, food safety and health & safety procedures.
  • Good communication, organisation and arithmetic skills.
  • The ability to work to targets and deadlines, use your initiative and work effectively as part of a team.

Available Shift Patterns

  • Monday to Friday 12:30 to 22:00
  • Monday to Friday 22:00 to 7:30
