Warehouse Operative

A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operative based at Bicester. This critical role involves reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader and performing driving and warehouse duties.

You will work as part of an effective and efficient team, providing logistics support to the contract while driving operational performance and ensuring strict compliance with all company standards.

The Warehouse Operative is an integral element of the day to day operational functionality delivering objectives and outputs efficiently and effectively within a Kuehne+Nagel warehouse environment.

This role is rotating shifts of 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm.

How you create impact

  • Complete the daily MHE safety checks (where applicable)
  • Carry out assigned tasks including: picking, packing, goods receipt, checking, loading & unloading of vehicles, hygiene, the processing of returns and stock maintenance and integrity tasks.
  • Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carry out other assigned Computer based tasks as required
  • Comply and contribute to the KN 5s standards within the working area
  • Actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas
  • Operate to trained work instructions
  • Adhere to company standards as detailed in the Code of Conduct Policy
  • Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace
  • Achieve individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy
  • Adopt KN Compass behaviours
  • Follow the escalation process where there is any deviation from the standard process
  • Requirement to work at height in a safe and effective manner in line with training provided
  • The individual will be employed as a part of a multi-skilled warehouse team

  • Experience of working to agreed targets
  • PC literate
  • MHE licence (where applicable)
  • Understanding of warehouse practises e.g. picking, loading
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Reliable and committed to attending work on time
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
  • High attention to detail
