Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the successful Superdrug Supply Chain; working within one of our three busy Distribution centres as a Warehouse Operative.
This vacancy is for the Savers DC known as Stead House Distribution Centre; based in Darlington. The hours will be predominantly as stated above but flexibility will be required across all other shift patterns.

About The Role
A Warehouse Operative is a member of the DC team that carries out site operations on a daily basis in one of our busy departments, from picking orders for stores, to despatching them, from stock control, to goods in checking, there are many varied opportunities on our sites.
Our core operation at SHDC provides stock to over 200 stores across the Savers Stores Network. As you can expect this is a fast paced role in a busy environment.
A passion for results will ensure that all specified standards are maintained; if not exceeded.

Working as “One Team” to ensure that operational efficiencies are identified and maximised; encouraging Growth & Innovation within the team, utilising appropriate resource and safe working practices; to help create a Supply Chain that makes our customer smile!
A Typical Day In This Role Includes
- Picking products in line with order requirements
- Ensuring all agreed daily/weekly work performances are achieved to the required standard as a minimum
- Always maintaining excellent packing and accuracy disciplines
- Ensuring that all picked stock is clean and undamaged; reporting any issues to your Line Manager
- Working collaboratively with the team to actively reduce shrinkage
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy by adopting a “Clean-As-You-Go” discipline. (This may include, but not limited to: cleaning up spills, wiping down surfaces, removing waste bins and generally keeping the work area, tools and equipment clean, safe, and free from hazard)
- Assisting the Operational Team in all aspects of Health and Safety and reporting all accidents/incidents/near misses immediately to your Line Manager.
